How do I get started?
It's simple!
1) Email us at [email protected] or call (719) 210-4183 to let us know to expect you.
2) Stop by and try out a free class to get a feel for things.
3) Either download and print off the registration sheet registration_form.pdf at this link, or wait and pick one up at your first class.
4) Turn in your completed registration sheet with a $35 one-time registration fee.
That's all there is to it!

What to wear or bring:
Attire
Please wear comfortable work out style clothing (leggings, shorts, capris, sweats, etc.). No jeans please! Competitive dancers need to wear shorts or leggings so their legs and form are more visible for instruction. If you have longer hair, please have it in a pony tail or pulled back somehow so that you are not distracted by your hair while you should be concentrating on dancing.
As for shoes, beginning dancers can choose either light-weight tennis shoes, jazz-type shoes, or socks. We don't require you to purchase ghillies (Irish soft shoes) until you know that this is something you plan on sticking with, will be performing with us, or will be competing in a feis (pronounced "fesh"). When you are ready to purchase ghillies and/or hard shoes, we do carry a limited supply of used shoes and supplies or we can help you order new shoes.
Bring
It is always a good idea to bring your own water bottle. Also, we recommend having a small spiral notebook or journal which you can use to write your steps into for future reference (like for practicing at home).

Transfer Students
Mountain Eire Irish Dance School accepts transfer students. If you are relocating to the Teller County or Western El Paso County areas and are interested in continuing Irish dance instruction, please note that you will have to meet with director Mickie Richardson before beginning any class. Student placement will be determined according to dancing ability and/or championship competition level.
To schedule a meeting please contact Mickie Richardson at [email protected].
Please Note: Students (including adults) transferring from another school in the Pikes Peak Region will have to serve a six-month reconditioning period, which includes no competitions during that time, and a $50 transfer fee to the Western Region. Students moving into the area from more than 50 miles away will not have to serve a suspension.
