School Costumes/Policies

Female beginner dancers age 3 to 9 wear the purple jumper with white blouse and petticoat school costume.  This costume has a $125 deposit.  Upon leaving the school, $120 will be returned to the family if the school costume is returned in good condition.

Dancers in their first year with the school may also choose to wear a white blouse and black skirt of their own as their first costume.  See Miss Diane for prerequisites for these items.

Female beginner dancers age 10 - 13 wear the black and purple school dress.
This costume also has a $125 deposit.  Upon leaving the school, $120 will be returned to the family if the school costume is returned in good condition.  Girls under age 10 may also progress to this costume if they reach the novice level in their dances.

Male dancers under age 10 wear a white long-sleeved button-down shirt and black slacks of their own with the purple high-collared school vest.  Males age 10 and above wear a black high-collared school vest with purple long-sleeved shirt and black slacks.
This vest has a $40 deposit.  Upon leaving the school, $35 will be returned to the family if the vest is returned in good condition.

Female dancers age 14 through adults wear a black sleeveless dress purchased through the school and either a black long-sleeved button-down blouse or the school black jacket over the dress.  This jacket has a $75 deposit.  Upon leaving the school, $70 will be returned to the family if the school jacket is returned in good condition.

The school will supply all female dancers wearing black and white or school costumes with a complimentary purple jeweled flower to be worn in the hair.  If this flower needs to be replaced, families may buy their own of the exact same style from Hobby Lobby stores or buy a replacement from the school for $5.

All female dancers under age 14 need to provide their own tap-pants and white poodle socks.  Female dancers 14 and over need to provide their own tap-pants and black opaque tights.

Dancers who reach the novice level and above may choose to purchase their own solo costume.  Please have Miss Diane and Miss Mickie approve the costume before purchase.
